We're going to Siberia!

About a week after our paperwork reached our agency, our Russia Coordinator, "M" told us that the region she was going to send our Dossier to was Novosibirsk in south central Russia. It is a 4.5 hour flight from Moscow. This region required a few more documents to add to our dossier, so I quickly got those completed within a week. Finally, our dossier was mailed to Russia on March 2, 2007 for translation, along with two other families from our agency.

When we heard we were going to Siberia, we were very surprised and pleased. We like the idea of adopting a child from a region in Russia that has some similarities to the Midwest. They say Novosibirsk is the Russian version of Chicago- it is the third largest city in Russia next to Moscow and St. Petersburg. It is well known for its academics, ballet, and arts. You can find photos of Novosibirsk by googling images. Once we travel, I will add some photos for your enjoyment.
