Just when I was about to place a call of desperation to our agency for some shred of news on the adoption front, along came a friendly email from our Branch office. Here's an excerpt:
We have 12 families scheduled to travel for the 1st visits and courts.
Accreditation:
Our Moscow office staff, as well as the staff in our office spends hours of each day working on our accreditation.
Overall:
Staff of Russia program is working hard and with the positive attitude looks into the future. Remember, we’re all here to provide the best service to you in assisting you with your adoption. And we are always available for you if you should have any questions.
So there you have it- direct from the branch office. We also got our quarterly newsletter by snail mail, and a monthly e-newsletter wich gave a little more information on what is going on in Russia and the process. Most of the agencies out there are still waiting for re accreditation. The FRUA message board has been really quiet lately also, so I know that everyone is going through the same frustrations, sadness, and feelings of impatience. It really helps to know you aren't alone in the wait even though it feels like it.
