Wyoming Wild

Last week we had the pleasure of accompanying our family on their church mission trip to Shell, Wyoming. Zach did wonderfully on the ride out- two days worth of driving stuck in a car seat. We didn't even have to break out the DVD player! A-Maz-ing. Here he is smiling!

During part of the trip we were able to attend a Rodeo in Cody. It was a great time, and Zach is still talking about the horses and Cowboys. I think he even dreamed about it the other night because he woke up telling an elaborate story about it first thing. Here we are in front of the main gate posing with a big tired old bull.

We had some fun in our cabin at Shell Campground and Zach was trying out various hats. Here he is with a diaper hat. It was so cute!

We camped one very cold and wet night in Yellowstone. The next morning we were greeted with 5 dear munching in the grass outside of our tent. Zach was willing to pose on this log for a picture at our camp sight.

On our way to Jackson, WY we stopped for PBJ lunch at one of the pull outs to view the mountains. It was a very memorable but simple lunch. Thank goodness for tripods!

I decided Jenny Lake is my favorite place- so beautiful and pristine! I can't wait to go back some day. Zach was pretty good going home, but the travel got too long in the end. About 6 hours before we made it home I discovered that part of the problem was that he was cutting two lower molars that had popped through the skin. I had a bit more compassion for the crabby attitude after that. All in all he did remarkably well travling. Here we are in Jackson at the city square under the antler arch.


It was a great trip, but we're glad to be home!
